st. louis day one of fun

We got back from St. Louis on Sunday.  On Monday, I buried myself in my sewing room to clear out some orders & get ready for Craftpalooza 2011.  It was lots of fun and lots of laughs (pics to come soon).  Finally have a moment to blog about our trip (what a great place for kids!).

We arrived on Friday around 5, checked into the hotel and then headed toward the St.Louis Zoo.  Across from the zoo, we stopped for some St. Louis style pizza at Imo’s.  Having lived in Chicago, I don’t know if it convinced me to convert to St. Louis style.

The St. Louis zoo is FREE!  Parking is $12.

You can buy train tickets to go around the zoo for $5 each.  This was a great way to see the different areas.

And then, of course, there has to be a carousel ride.

Another blog post will follow with our Day Two:

1.  Grant’s Farm

2.  Mississippi Riverboat Tour

3.  Gooey Louie Gooey Butter Cake

4.  St. Louis Cardinals Game

(On Day Two we actually found someone to take a picture of the four of us!)

It looks like a great first day of your trip. We’re getting ready for a week-long vacation up the East Coast. I cant wait to experience places like Boston and Cape Cod on Independence day(hoping for some amazing fireworks shows!)
