This morning I woke up thinking I had my whole day planned out. I would drop off the boys at the sitters, drive an hour to get the car serviced (hello small town living), and get back with some time to sew some orders. We rolled up to the sitter’s house, only to remember that they were still on vacation. It was the perfect absent minded mom moment. So, I changed plans and headed out with the boys.
The car service was supposed to be about 3 hours. Two three year olds confined to a car dealer for three hours is not my idea of fun. Luckily, our trusty jogging stroller was in the back.
I decided to walk about a mile to Chick-fil-a in the BLAZING heat! I think it was about 100 degrees today. I was determined to get there and have some fun. As the sweat poured from my forehead, I realized it was not a wise decision to pass up the complimentary shuttle service.
When the dealership called and said the car was ready, I swallowed my pride and asked for a shuttle pick-up.
What seemed like it was going to be a trying day turned out to be a great day with my little boys.
