Today I’m linking up with The Pleated Poppy.  Lindsay inspires us to get out of our yoga pants and into “real” clothes.  I do love my yoga pants and sport them about once a week, but love the encouragement to embrace my style.

This past weekend, we went to a wedding…without the kiddos!  I love my husband’s family, because they know how to have a good time!  The dance floor is usually still packed at midnight.  So nice to spend some quality time together.  I found this dress at a local boutique shop, Blush on Main.  The owner is a fellow twin momma and adds a great style to this small town.  Did you see how Doug’s bow tie matched my dress?  I love this guy!

I recently upgraded my Nikon D40 to this beauty…a Nikon D700.  It was a pretty HUGE leap in camera quality, so I feel a tad silly when I get the huge thing out.  People ask if I’m a professional…I laugh and say I’m a wanna be.  It is perfect for low light shooting and bumped me up to a full frame camera.  Oh wait, this is a post about what I wore…my necklace is one of my favorites from Allora Handmade.  I get so many compliments when I wear this out…perfect for a black tank top.  Makes me look like I’ve got my act together.

Doug snapped this picture of me when we were playing outside for our boys’ birthday.  I found this skirt at Target for $15.  The best feature is that it has pockets and you can carry around your phone without even knowing it!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. All your outfits are cute, but your dress is gorgeous! I don’t blame you one bit for pulling out your big old camera. I would too if I had one. ;-)

    • @SomebodysParent -I used to shove my old camera in my purse…how horrible is that! I baby the new one a bit more. I have not dabbled in making any camera bags. Have you looked at Jo Totes? They have nice camera bags that look like purses.

  2. I’m loving that coral skirt!! Very cute outfit! :) Love the camera upgrade too…how fun! One day I hope to do that too, but my Nikon D80 is treating me well :)
