Shop Update: New Monograms

What could make you more excited for summer? Excessive heat, endless daylight and more popsicle consumption that normal…oh, and our new monograms! You can hardly contain your excitement. I totally get it! What’s new, you ask?  The circle monogram is now available on the extra large totes.  I love this combination and it perfectly fits the classic style of this tote.  I would love to take credit for the revelation to include it on my tote, but I would be a big ol’ liar.  I recently had a customer ask if she could have that one her tote.  Light bulb moment right there, ladies! The other addition is the anchor monogram and a whale.  I’m a bit obsessed with the whale.  New pool wet bags coming soon with this option.   I’ve narrowed down what I think is the perfect selection of monograms that match the style of the totes. First Impressions

We have moved a lot!  This means, in each new city there is a new first impression to make.  This is really scary.  Have you had that friend that’s know you since grade school?  There is just a level of comfort.  They know you, through awkward stages (hello, Junior High), through hard times and times are pure childhood delight. Enter new city and people that have no background of you.  It kind of feels like a sales pitch.  You are trying to put your best foot forward.  Hoping for them to see deep inside you and become your friend. And I always wonder what first impression that will be.  What will they think of me?  If I just come as I am, what will they think of me. After getting to know one of the moms that I now consider a good friend, I gently asked her first impression of…

Fall and Apple Orchards

Pretty sure we could all agree that fall is a special time of the year.  The sun feels more golden, the air is crisp.  We anticipate the season change and prepare our hearts and minds for the holidays.  Summer is busy, days are long.  Winter is busy, days feel short.  Fall feels just right. This past weekend, we headed to the apple orchard.  Our boys just finished a whole week at school studying apples.  They taught us the proper way to pick apples.  Gently twist and gently tug.  “You don’t want to hurt the tree, mom.” And being a bit of a photo nut, apple orchards make for the pictures. Broccoli fields smell bad!  Like really, really bad.  It tastes great, but I think it took broccoli off any future garden plans.

OPEN for business

I am so excited to announce that the new on-line store is OPEN!  I have loved selling on Etsy for the past several years, but have always been interested in having my own website.  I wanted a space that was filled with my creative energy and allowed more customization.  I think Etsy is a wonderful platform for so many sellers (and plan to do a few tips & tricks tutorial soon)! I’m working on several new products and designs.  The first to introduce is the pencil pouch. The goal of this pouch was to make something both beautiful and useful.  The exterior is a gorgeous vinyl.  It holds its shape nicely and is a great weight. I have small children, so having a pouch that is easy to keep clean is the best.  At a soccer game, it ends up on the ground…that’s okay.  Have a kid with sticky lollipop…
