Channeling my Inner Martha

This morning, I am channeling my inner Martha.  I’ll be busy in the kitchen, not my sewing room, making about 50 cupcakes and icing.  This is a big step out of my comfort zone…BIG STEP!  I had great plans that my husband doing all the baking and me doing all the decorating, but as plans would have it he was pulled out-of-town at the last-minute.  I’m stepping up to the plate, taking my baking courage pill and getting my icing on.  I’m attempting this vanilla cupcake recipe from Glorious Treats.  I’m also using her buttercream icing recipe.  We are doing an orange and blue theme…ahhh…so excited.

The above supplies were ordered from The TomKat Studio.  This was my mini photo shoot of the party supplies.  They are much more cooperative than my five-year olds.

Can’t wait to show how it all comes together…or to show you how it was a cupcake fail and we ended up with store-bought.  May Martha be with me!
