January is always a slower work month, which I gladly embrace after the craziness of the holidays. I love that the past month was filled with quite a few larger orders.
I had the privilege of working on an order of wristlets in navy polka dots and leather. We made each wristlet a different color liner, so they were uniquely different.
This order of totes and the matching zipper pouches shipped out and will be given throughout the year as birthday gifts for one of my customers’ employees. Each tote and pouch is individualized with a two letter typewriter monogram. This was such a great way to let each employee know that the tote was picked out just for them. I also love the idea of the two letter monogram if you don’t want to ask each person their middle name and give away the surprise.
I schedule time each week to meet with a good friend and we chat business the whole time. She runs a successful blog and podcast, so it always pushes me to see my business in a different way.
These signature stripe totes shipped out around Christmas and are the perfect way to really give someone something unique and personalized. Maybe it’s their signature colors or their favorite school colors.
I am loving the response for the Halsted bag and will be adding a few new spring colors soon.
There is a new Starbucks on the way to the post office. I may need to find a detour that doesn’t tempt my car to pull in for an iced coffee. I usually allow myself one day for a special treat. This doesn’t break the bank and makes my afternoon feel a little special.
What have your been up to lately?
